Policy
Transport and Expenses
It is the responsibility of members to organise their own travel to and from the drop zone (Course Weekends excluded), however, there will often be someone driving who can offer a lift
Members can be reimbursed for train travel to the drop zone up to a maximum of £10 per round trip
If driving to the drop zone, a minimum of £10 per person (flat cost for both one way and return) is payable to the driver directly unless otherwise agreed between all parties
If driving other members to the drop zone, a driver can claim, from the club, up to a maximum of £10 for fuel per round trip on top of monies directly from members
If driving members for a course weekend the full fuel cost can be claimed by a driver
Kit Use
Members of the club can access the kit inventory including parachute rigs, helmets, altimeters, jumpsuits, and goggles
Whilst using the kit, it is the responsibility of the user to ensure correct and safe usage of the kit
Members wishing to borrow kit to take to other dropzones must get permission of the President to do so
Kit must be stored correctly at all times in accordance with manufacturer and dropzone protocols
Members must have a packing certificate for our rigs before being allowed to use them
You must log and report all jumps on the kit each time you use it
Safeguarding and Welfare
A member should feel free from discrimination or bullying at all times
Should a disclosure be required, please directly contact our committee
We adhere to the Sports Union and British Skydiving policies on Safeguarding and Welfare at all times
You can report a concern directly to the Sports Union here
Socials and Member Behaviour
All members are expected to act with respect and integrity at all times when attending club events and socials
Bullying, discrimination, and harrassment will result in removal from the club and may be reported to the Sports Union and British Skydiving if appropriate
